Hand Knotted Hidden Mughal Treasure (Sabz Burj) 9ft X 12ft Carpet
This hand knotted carpet gets it's inspiration from the Sabz Burj- a stunning discovery by conservators in the domed ceiling of this 16th century monument near the Humayun's Tomb where exquisite paintings in blue, yellow, red and gold have been uncovered. It is richly ornamented with incised plasterwork, glazed ceramic tiles and decorative lattice stonework. This was the first time when early 16th century paintings were found in Delhi. Most of these paintings were lost due to the seepage of rainwater.
