Rubescent Heriz
Heriz carpets are easily recognisable because of their bold colours and unique signature design, consisting of a large medallion with oversized corner pieces and double or even triple outlining. These carpets were originally woven in several towns and villages in the northwestern region of Iran and all of these weaving centres were scattered around Mount Sabalan in the town of Heriz.
