Hand Knotted Jasper Volcanic 8ft X 10ft Carpet

This hand knotted carpet has hues similar to the Jasper Volcanic gemstones. The word Jasper means spotted or speckled stone. It's swirling patterns, flecks of colour, daubs of red, green and yellow along with it's woody and organic looking patches all make this a truly unique gemstone. It's hardness and polish made it a popular stone with the Ancient Egyptians and Greeks. It is mentioned several times in the bible and was turned into tools, seals, beads and ornaments from the days of the Harappan Empire in the Indus River valley.
